Demonstrator. This project is a demonstrator built by IK Digital Solutions to show our method. No real client is named and no commercial result is shown. The features described can be tested in the demo.
Client type and problem
Mining subcontracting · Haut-Katanga, Lualaba
A Congolese company subcontracting for a mine must give its principal incident reports, equipment checklists, timesheets and an up-to-date compliance file. Everything is done on paper, then retyped at the office.
An incomplete file delays payment or loses the contract at the next tender.
What we built
- Android app for incident reports, inspections and time tracking, with photos
- Compliance file per contract: insurance, certifications, ARSP approval, deadlines
- Manager dashboard: open incidents, overdue inspections, expired documents
- PDF export in the format the principal expects
- Interface in French, English and Swahili
How it holds up in the DRC
- Works without network on site; syncs over 4G or Starlink on return
- Photos compressed automatically so they do not saturate the connection
- Usable with gloves on a rugged phone: large buttons, little text
- No e-mail address required for field staff
Deployment
- Hosted in Kinshasa, Cloudflare in front of the application
- Docker containers, PostgreSQL database, object storage for photos and PDFs
- Encrypted nightly backup, off-country copy, restore tested

- Probe every 60 seconds, published on the status page
- Tracking of failed syncs per device
- WhatsApp and SMS alert to our team
- Monthly availability and incident report
