Kando Ressources SA is a company under Congolese law, 90% owned by Kando Holdings and 10% by the Congolese State under the 2018 Mining Code. We employ 2,340 people, 93% of them Congolese.

Our history
- 2009
Exploration permit granted over the Kando deposit, 28 km from Kolwezi.
- 2013
Bankable feasibility study: 42 Mt of reserves at 2.4% Cu and 0.31% Co.
- 2016
First copper cathode produced at the Kando plant (SX-EW, 35,000 t/yr).
- 2019
Plant expanded to 65,000 t/yr with a cobalt hydroxide circuit.
- 2022
20 MWp solar plant commissioned, the first on a Lualaba mine site.
- 2024
Site certified ISO 45001; Copper Mark assurance process launched.
- 2025
Record output: 61,400 t of copper cathode. First independently assured sustainability report published.

Governance
The board has four members, including an independent director who chairs the audit committee. A health, safety, environment and communities committee meets quarterly. The code of conduct and anti-corruption policy apply to all employees, suppliers and contractors; a confidential whistleblowing line is open to all.
